Dr. Jill Thomson DC, MSc., CCSP
A native of Toronto, Canada, Dr. Thomson received her bachelor’s of science in kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Upon graduation she moved to Tennessee and completed her Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology. She then moved to California to work at Stanford University in the School of Medicine before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic West. She graduated magna cum laude in December of 2006 and practiced in San Jose, California while completing a post-doctorate degree as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner. Dr. Thomson moved to Austin in 2009 and specializes in diversified adjusting, Cox Technic, Active Release Technique (ART) and Hans On Muscle Therapy (HMT).
She is a former competitive figure skater, a two sport college varsity athlete, and All Canadian in both figure skating and rugby. She has experience treating highly trained athletes, such as the San Jose Sharks, Canadian National Figure Skaters, University of Texas athletes, and World Class Ironman athletes. In addition, Dr. Thomson is currently the ART specialist for University of Texas womens athletics.
Dr. Thomson’s educational background allows her to take a biomechanical and physiological approach when evaluating each patient. She believes that each patient brings new challenges and no two cases are treated the same. “Chiropractic care is unique because it gets to the root of the problem, as opposed to chasing symptoms.” explains Dr. Thomson, “I am a firm believer that the entire musculoskeletal system must be addressed in order to restore proper function to the body.”
Her experience in the competitive world and the love of sports has provided her with the compassion and drive to keep her patients moving. Dr. Thomson not only enables patients to get back to their sport faster, but helps improve their athletic performance.
Dr. Thomson appreciates the vibrant exercise culture that Austin has to offer. In her spare time she enjoys her workouts at Pure Austin, and hitting the trail on Town Lake. She will never turn down a ski vacation and enjoys hitting the slopes.

Dr. Brown developed his interest in effective, conservative musculo-skeletal treatment as a collegiate basketball player and now understands the importance of athletes returning quickly to their sport without unnecessary invasive treatment. Dr. Brown has experience working with elite athletes including the NFL, NHL, Olympic athletes, professional tennis players, the English Premier League, NCAA and world champion triathletes. In addition to his athletic affiliations, Dr. Brown enjoys working with anyone looking to improve their physical health in a proactive manner.
Prior to moving to Austin, Dr. Brown worked in New York City with a widely respected and nationally known ART instructor, Dr. Rob DeStefano, as a consulting physician at the world famous La Palestra Center for Preventative Medicine. At La Palestra, Dr. Brown worked with orthopedists, physical therapists and elite trainers from all fields. A resident of Austin since 2008, Dr. Brown appreciates the richness and variety of clientele that one of the fittest cities in America has to offer. From Texas high school football players to the grandparents that go to their games, to the runners on Town Lake, Dr. Brown enjoys enabling Austinites to achieve their everyday best.
